Well, today was the day we had all been waiting for -- The Climate Change Conference! There was a slight change in plans as our main speaker, Dr. Lonnie Thompson, could not make it due to an emergency, but we still moved forward and the conference ran very smoothly! There were a few hiccups with the ventilation system in the room (at first it was VERY cold, and then became very hot -- perhaps a small scale demonstration on climate change?) though. All of our guests and speakers were pleased with the event and hope there is another one next year.
I didn't watch the speakers as much as I had planned because I felt the need to man the registration and gift table (I kept compulsively rearranging the gift table), but I am ok with that because the whole conference was recorded.
