July 5th -- Mountaineer Day!

Today was Mountaineer Day in Thomas, West Virginia!  From what I gathered, it is their celebration for the 4th of July.  There was a parade, tons of booths (we had a booth there as well), live music, food, and fireworks at the end of the night. 

I manned our Friends of Blackwater booth with the posters I made, pamphlets about what we do, and I was also selling t-shirts.  Our part-time office manager Lori also came to help out and she was also selling some pottery -- she's a potter, and her work is beautiful! 

All-in-all it was a great day, and we were able to raise a little money to help keep our flying squirrel research going!
